Greetings Katharina Pape

Dear athletes,
dear guests from all over the world and near,

it is a great pleasure and honor for us to welcome you here in Hanover to the World Shooting Championships of the German Deaf Sports Association. In this city, which is known for its rich culture, impressive nature and above all its hospitality, we are allowed to host a sporting event of international standing. We are proud to be able to unite 16 nations from all corners of the world in Hanover.

This World Shooting Championship for the Deaf offers us the opportunity to live and celebrate the values of our sport together. Fair play, respect, democracy and peace - these principles unite us all, regardless of origin or hearing status. Shooting plays an important role in deaf sports and we are proud to host such an important championship.

Our special thanks go to everyone who made this event possible - the tireless helpers, the committed supporters as well as the Lower Saxony Sports Shooting Association, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs, the Lower Saxony Lotto Foundation and the City of Hanover. Without your commitment and dedication, this championship would not have been possible.

We wish you all unforgettable days in Hanover, exciting competitions and a time of encounters characterized by peace and mutual respect.

With sporting greetings
